Handwoven Anatolian saddle bag (chuval), originally created to carry grain or other supplies . Crafted of 100% sheep’s wool on front and back. Features original geometric front, striped back and rustic wool yarn stitched seams. Includes custom down blend insert. Designed with an envelope style fold over top. This re-purposed chuval can also be used without the insert pillow, hung as an oversized wall pocket. Two available.

Origin: 50-60 year old Anatolian chuval.

Cushions are made of 40-60+ year old Turkish rugs and sacks that are professionally cleaned, then repurposed into durable pillow covers. Each orignial kilim cover is hand cut and sewn in Los Angeles and includes locally made made pillow inserts. One-of-a-kind re-purposed cushions may show signs of age, wear and irregularities in shape, size, color and craftsmanship. These qualities are intrinsic to aged, handmade goods and contribute to the charm of vintage textiles.
Care: Vacuum to remove dust, and spot clean with delicate wool detergent. Use professional services for deep cleaning. Never attempt to machine wash.
