Product Information
Handmade and vintage textiles have a more natural, lived-in appearance. The weaving process, human influence and age means our handmade blankets, towels and kilim products may show expected variations in size, shape, pattern or color. These qualities reflect the charm and uniqueness of each piece and are not deemed flaws. Rest assured, each custom-made cushion, vintage rug, and handloomed linen is carefully inspected for defects prior to listing.
Naturally dyed vintage rugs (including kilim cushions) require professional cleaning. Be aware that plant dyes, much your favorite indigo dyed jeans, may transfer color to lighter surfaces especially if rugs get wet from spills. To avoid the chance of unintended color bleeding, use caution placing vintage rugs directly on light colored carpet or other rugs. Vintage rugs can safely be placed on hard floor surfaces without issue.
Product Care
Vintage kilim rugs and cushion covers should be professionally cleaned. Vintage rugs and cushions are not weather proof and should not be left outdoors. Rugs should be protected from direct sunlight even indoors to prevent excess fading.
Proper care keeps your high quality linens soft and long lasting. Handwoven blankets arrive to you pre-washed. Blankets and loomed towels should be cold washed on delicate. Ideally line dry, or machine dry on cool and delicate. Heat will shrink your linens while harsh detergents and fabric softeners impair softness. Stray threads will appear and should simply be trimmed away.
Returns and Exchanges
Due to the cost of professionally cleaning vintage kilim rugs and cushion covers, these products are final sale and not eligible for return. Please review photos, descriptions and measurements carefully and ask all product questions before purchase.
New linens and Pabuch shoes may be returned for exchange or store credit. If a suitable exchange is unavailable or out of stock, store credit will be applied. Outside of seller error, return shipping is paid by the customer. Eligible items must be returned in the same new condition as received. Merchandise must be free of stains, odors, or signs of wear and include original packaging. Returns must be initiated within 10 business days of receiving your purchase. Domestic and International Shipping
Domestic and International purchases are typically processed and shipped in 1-3 business days using USPS Priority Mail, FedEx, UPS or DHL. Delivery time is approximately 5-7 business days, with carrier delays possible especially during high volume times. Fabrikist is not responsible for missing or lost packages.
International purchases must be marked as merchandise and include price paid. Buyers are responsible for applicable customs, duties, taxes, etc. Eligible returns are accepted (excluding vintage kilim rugs and cushions), but international customers are responsible for arranging return shipping and paying applicable duties, fees, etc. Before return shipping any items, kindly use the Contact Us form so we can assist.
