Rugs and Kilim
Fabrikist thoughtfully sources vintage and semi-antique rugs and kilim directly from small suppliers in Turkey. Our Anatolian rugs, aged 40-60+ years, were woven or knotted by hand of wool, cotton, hemp or goat hair and colored with natural plant dyes. Each piece is carefully cleaned and repaired, if needed, to enhance appearance and use.
Handwoven Blankets
Fabrikist offers an assorted collection of vintage style cotton jacquard blankets, woven in Turkey on antique shuttle looms. These traditional flat-weave blankets feature striking nostalgic Ottoman patterns in an array of updated colors. We now create custom-sized throw blankets, sewn in Los Angeles, from the same handwoven fabric as our bedspreads.
Cushions
Fabrikist cushions are custom creations of old, re-purposed Turkish rugs and fragments. Every cushion is a Fabrikist design and made of hand-selected, imported Anatolian kilim, rugs, sacks or saddle bags. Beginning in 2022, our vintage pillows are assembled and sewn domestically in Los Angeles.
Shoes
Pabuch x Fabrikist is our contemporary iteration of the centuries-old footwear of Southern Anatolia called yemeni. While modernized in style, Pabuch shoes are still crafted entirely by hand in Turkey using traditional techniques and natural materials.
Turkish Towels
Fabrikist towels are made in Turkey of natural, domestically-grown cotton and deemed some of the world’s best bath linens. Naturally mildew resistant and long lasting, our Turkish towels are meant to enjoy at home or outdoors.
